We are honoured to collaborate with renowned Japanese whisky expert Kenji Hariu (針生健二) as our Production Consultant. With decades of industry experience at iconic distilleries such as the legendary Karuizawa Distillery—famous globally for producing highly collectible whiskies—and Fuji Gotemba, one of Japan’s most advanced and largest whisky operations, Kenji-san brings unparalleled expertise to our team.

His extensive knowledge in both boutique and large-scale whisky production helps Rachelle The Rabbit Distillery elevate our malt and rice whisky processes, enhance our aging strategies, and uphold the highest quality standards.

My name is Kenji Hariu, and I serve as an advisor. As Singapore’s first authentic malt whisky distillery, we follow the traditional production methods of Scotch and Japanese whisky while incorporating new ideas and techniques suited to this warm climate. I am truly delighted to be able to help create a whisky that embodies the essence of Singapore.

It will take five or even ten years before we know what kind of value the whisky we are making now will have. I look forward to enjoying this long-term work.”
